Sorrento is in Italy, located just one hour South of Naples. It is a great home base to stay in order to have easy access to Pompeii, Naples and the beautiful Amalfi Coast. From the Amalfi towns to the jet set Capri Island, Sorrento is simply a 30 minute drive to the towns and a 45 minute boat ride over to Capri.

The Mediterranean sea is so picture perfect, that it appears like a dream coming alive. Hotels, homes, restaurants and garages all cling to the vertical terrain. The shops start up hill and work their way down hill, so you have to make sure you wear comfortable shoes, the visit is an exercise in itself.
Positano is the first most beautiful town you will encounter and is very beautiful. This town offers great food, ice cream and a very nice pebbled beach. The shops offer great souvenirs and the town is very splendid in culture and architect. If you have more time then a visit to the famous town of Capri is well worth it. It is a jewel sitting in the Mediterranean sea with nice cafes, shops and restaurants. There are many famous artists and actors that have been inspired while spending some time in Capri.
